I’m almost certain that Kitty Ferguson’s work1 deserves all the praise it has received. J However, it is almost exactly 10-years since it was published and theoretical work has moved greatly since that time. The reasoned reports that black-holes do not, in fact, form doesn’t seem to have percolated far, yet. Condensed, correctly-quantised matter is now inextricably linked through supersymmetry to things ‘Dark’ and its behaviour is shown to be simultaneously more exciting than the asymptotic, singular nothingness of a purely Einsteinian (i.e. non-quantum) understanding of gravity’s action; geometrically exceptionally simple2 and beautiful3; arithmetically anti-4; algebraically ultra-complex5 and paradoxically worthwhile. There exists nothing other, O, that is real: otherwise earlier assumptions are erroneous.

Are two accessible accounts (tho’ the first is technical) from 21st Century thinking.

The ontological debates of the last Century should be allowed to rest in peace.

 Onwards, onwards, ever onwards…
